Carissa L. Rodeheaver, CEO, Chairman of the Board and President of First United Bank & Trust, and Tonya K. Sturm, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer announce the promotion of Diane M. Emory to Vice President and Controller.
Diane has over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry and has been with First United since 2004. She served as a Staff Accountant for four years before her promotion to Senior Staff Accountant in April 2008. In August 2015, Diane completed the three-year Maryland Banking School, where she graduated with honors and received two distinguished awards for service to the community. Diane is actively involved in many internal committees, including: the Risk Committee, Revenue Enhancement & Treasury teams and the Internal Investment Committee.

Emory earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Frostburg State University and has attended numerous banking seminars. Diane enjoys spending time with her family and especially watching her children’s extra-curriculum activities including football, baseball, volleyball, and band. Diane resides in Grantsville, Maryland with her husband Dwight and their two children, Garrett and Reagan.
