Shannon Burker, Regional Retail Manager at First United Bank & Trust, is pleased to announce the addition of Kurt Tompkins as the Community Office Manager for the Boonsboro, MD, Community Office.
In his new role, Tompkins will oversee the daily operations of the office while helping customers achieve their financial goals. He will focus on fostering a positive customer experience, developing and supporting team members, building strong relationships throughout the community, and ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the office.

Tompkins brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in retail management. Throughout his career, he has successfully overseen operations at multiple locations, while leading and developing robust teams of employees. His strong focus on coaching and employee development has helped create positive workplace cultures where team members are empowered to grow, succeed, and advance in their careers.
A graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Tompkins earned an Associate Degree in Accounting and Business Management. Prior to joining First United, he served as a Vice President and Branch Manager, where he gained extensive experience in customer relationship management, operational leadership, business development, and team performance.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Tompkins was honorably discharged following his military service. He is also dedicated to giving back to the communities he serves and has volunteered with organizations including Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and The Literacy Foundation.
