Alan Mullendore, Managing Director of Commercial Services at First United Bank & Trust, is proud to announce the addition of Jarrod Furgason as Commercial Relationship Manager, based at the Edwin Miller Community Office.
As a Commercial Relationship Manager, Furgason will support the bank’s commercial clients across the region and help strengthen First United’s growing commercial lending portfolio. He’ll work closely with business customers to support their growth, oversee commercial loans from start to finish, and guide the team members who help manage those relationships.
Furgason brings a deep well of experience, including 6-plus years as a market president and commercial lender, more than 20 years as a loan officer, and over 15 years in financial institution management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Fairmont State University and his MBA from West Virginia University. He enhanced his leadership and industry expertise through a Certificate of Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, a graduate banking degree from the Stonier/ABA School of Banking at Wharton, and advanced studies in commercial lending and credit through RMA at East Carolina University.

Beyond his professional background, Furgason has been active in his community for many years, coaching youth and also high school football as a QB coach for Martinsburg and Capital High Schools where he was part of four state championships. He has also served as a board member for the Fairmont State Athletic Association, Rea of Hope, Berkeley County Schools Partners in Education, and Fairmont Rotary. Additionally, Jarrod served as president of Berry Hills Country Club and the Thomas Health Systems Foundation.
