First United Bank & Trust is proud to welcome Todd Eckels as Director of Business Relationships serving the Morgantown, WV, market.
In this role, Eckels will focus on developing, managing and strengthening business relationships throughout the region. He will work closely with commercial clients to identify financial solutions that support their growth, while helping expand First United’s presence in the market. He will also be responsible for achieving business development goals, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional service for customers throughout the region.
Eckels brings 37 years of commercial banking experience in the Morgantown market. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for helping businesses succeed and fostering long-term relationships within the community. He has also served as a Market President, further strengthening his expertise in commercial banking and leadership.
A graduate of West Virginia University, Eckels earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and studied commercial lending at schools in Oklahoma and at East Carolina University.

His involvement includes serving with the Mylan Foundation Board, Cheat Lake Rotary, Morgantown Kiwanis, Avery United Methodist Church Trustees, Main Street Morgantown, Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce, Stepping Stones Playground, and the American Heart Association. He is also a past chair of the American Red Cross.
