Jarrod Furgason, Vice President and Director of Commercial Services – East at First United Bank & Trust, is pleased to announce the addition of Owen Elliott as Commercial Relationship Manager, serving Washington and Frederick counties in Maryland and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
In his new role, Elliott will support the bank’s commercial clients throughout the region while contributing to the continued growth of First United’s commercial lending portfolio. He will work closely with business customers to help meet their financial goals, manage commercial loans from origination through completion, and provide leadership and guidance to team members supporting those relationships.
Elliott brings a strong background in commercial banking, with experience in business client relationship management, credit analysis, underwriting support, and risk assessment. He is also skilled in consultative customer service, cross-selling strategies, and data analysis and reporting.
“Owen’s well-rounded experience and dedication to serving clients make him a valuable addition to our commercial team,” said Furgason. “He has a strong understanding of the needs of business customers across our region, and I am confident he will play a key role in strengthening relationships and supporting continued growth for both our clients and our organization.”
Elliott earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV, where he graduated summa cum laude and was recognized as a Dean’s List honoree every semester. He is currently pursuing his MBA. During his time at Shepherd, he also demonstrated leadership and teamwork as captain of the university’s golf team and was an active member of the Financial Planning Club.
