We can help first-time homebuyers access up to $17,500 to assist with the down payment and closing costs incurred when purchasing a home. Funding is available to qualified first-time homebuyers.
In addition to meeting eligibility requirements, the homebuyer must:
- Contribute at least $1,000 toward the purchase of the home.
- Occupy the home as a primary residence.
- Complete a homebuyer education and financial literacy course specified by FHLBank Atlanta.

Community Partners
Get Up To $20,000*
Available for Home Purchase.
As part of this commitment, we are offering to help homebuyers access up to $20,000 to assist with the down payment, closing costs, and rehabilitation costs incurred when purchasing a home.
We offer this unique financial opportunity for:
- Current or retired law enforcement officers
- Educators
- Health care workers
- Firefighters
- Other first responders
- Veterans and active-duty members of the military or their surviving spouse who are purchasing a home
In addition to meeting eligibility requirements, the homebuyer must:
- Contribute at least $1,000 toward the purchase of the home.
- Occupy the home as a primary residence.
- Complete a homebuyer education and financial literacy course specified by FHLBank Atlanta.

Workforce Housing Plus+
Get Up To $15,000*
Available for Home Purchase.
Prospective families and individuals who qualify as first-time and non-first-time homebuyers with incomes between 80.01 percent up to 120 percent of area median income (AMI), are eligible to apply and receive up to $15,000 in funding.
In addition to meeting eligibility requirements, the homebuyer must:
• Contribute a minimum of $1,000 of their own funds to put towards the purchase of their home with zero cash back at the closing table.
• Participate in a pre-purchase financial literacy counseling session.

Community Rebuild and Restore
Get Up To $25,000*
Available for Rehabilitation.
At First United Bank & Trust, we want to be here for you when disaster strikes and do our part to help with recovery efforts. To help you get back on solid footing, we provide up to $25,000 per household for rehabilitation of an owner-occupied home located in an “Emergency Declaration” or “Major Disaster Declaration” area as designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or by a local, state, or other federal government agency.
In addition to meeting eligibility requirements, the homebuyer must:
• Have at least 30 days current ownership by life estate, surface rights, leasehold estate, or full interest in the fee title and have ownership of the subject property at the time of the “Emergency Declaration” or “Major Disaster Declaration.”
• Work with First United to submit an application within 36 months of the “Emergency Declaration” or “Major Disaster Declaration.”
