(Hagerstown, MD) – The Hagerstown Community College Foundation recently received a commitment from First United Bank & Trust, for $15,000. The money will be paid over five years and will be used for a first-floor office in HCC’s Center for Business and Entrepreneurial Studies, which is currently under development on the HCC campus.

“We are excited to support the project. We believe education at all levels is a key element to the communities we serve,” said R.L. Fisher, II, senior vice president and chief revenue officer at First United Bank & Trust. “Hagerstown Community College provides so much opportunity for the region and is a catalyst in so many ways.”

“First United Bank & Trust is pleased to be a part this exciting new and vital resource that serves the businesses and entrepreneurs in our area,” added Alan Mullendore, market president at First United Bank & Trust.

The CBES is expected to open in late 2019 and will bring together HCC’s credit and non-credit business programs, HCC’s business incubator, and area business and industry leaders.
