Carissa L. Rodeheaver, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer at First United and Patricia E. Young, Market President for Washington County, announce the promotion of Laura C. Lowry to Vice President and Community Relationship Manager.
Lowry has over 36 years of business experience and joined First United in 2005. She began as a Staff Accountant and Investment Assistant. She also held positions ranging from Marketing Coordinator, Retail Banking Manager as well as Assistant to the Director of Finance for the City of Hagerstown. She is a graduate of Hagerstown Community College with a degree in Applied Science majoring in Accounting & Business Management. She also maintains State of Maryland Producer Insurance license.
Young commented, “Laura’s promotion is well-deserved. This promotion recognizes the important contributions she has made to the performance of the Bank. Laura is a great team player who understands the importance of community and superior customer service.”
Lowry is active in the community and supports many non-profits. Currently, she serves on the Horizon Goodwill Industries Board of Directors and is the Finance Committee Chair. She also serves on the Operations Committee for Goodwill. Lowry is also a member of the Ambassador Committee with the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce.
