OAKLAND, MD — Jason Rush, President and CEO of First United Bank & Trust, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason VanSickle as Managing Director of Specialized Banking.
VanSickle joined First United in 2017 and has held a variety of leadership roles throughout the organization, most recently serving as Managing Director of Support Services. Over the course of his tenure, he has played a central role in shaping the bank’s strategic direction, contributing extensively to enterprise-level initiatives and organizational performance.
In his prior roles, VanSickle has helped develop and advance the bank’s long‑term strategic mission. His leadership has supported successful teams across underwriting, retail banking, the call center, sales, and external technology. He has also championed new product launches, advanced data‑driven business growth strategies, and led key efforts in digital transformation and emerging technologies.
In his new position as Managing Director of Specialized Banking, VanSickle will expand upon these responsibilities, assuming broader oversight and continuing to support First United’s growth, innovation, and commitment to exceptional service.

VanSickle earned his Bachelor of Science from Frostburg State University and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Maryland. Recognized as a dynamic leader, he is dedicated to advancing high‑performance strategies that position First United at the forefront of the financial services industry.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, VanSickle is deeply engaged in community service. He has served as Vice President of the Garrett County Agricultural Fair, President of the Frostburg State University Alumni Association, and has contributed to several youth and community organizations, including the Mountain Top Soccer Association, AYSO Soccer, Central Garrett Baseball, Northern Garrett Youth Basketball, and the Maryland Business Roundtable.
