First United has hosted their annual golf tournament to benefit United Way of Garrett County for many years, contributing to a quarter of the community fund. These dollars are vital to health, education, and financial stability programs that help the people of Garrett County each day. In addition, the corporation allows an opportunity for employees to give to United Way and matches those dollars to maximize the investment. We are eternally grateful, not only for the fundraising, but for the hundreds of volunteer hours the employees give through our events and requests for additional services that benefit children and families.
